Proved strength of mental waves

Found this interesting video on a examples of strength of mind waves

Well although these things are quiet common in India if you really look .. but heres an example for those who don't believe...

making a difference – vinayak lohani

He studied Mining Engineering at IIT, Kharagpur.
He worked for Infosys.
He graduated from IIM, Joka.

Then, he found his vocation in life – with Bablu, Rahul, Nasir and many others. All of them orphaned or abandoned. All of them in need ofshelter. He adopted them all and made a family. Parivaar.Vinayak Lohani founded Parivaar in Calcutta in March 2003. The objective was to provide shelter and education to the ones who needit most. Today the Parivaar family is 80 strong. To help finance his Parivaar, Vinayak runs a tutorial for students preparing for CAT – the entrance exam for the IIMs. He also finds support from IIM graduates from all over the world – California, London,Zurich, Singapore and Japan.

Whilst Parivaar provides shelter to the children, they attend St. Elizabeth School nearby. Volunteers help the children with their homework and local doctors chip in to provide medical services. Organisations like CINI and Sankalp help out as well.

The ability to put aside a choice career, to overcome the objections put forth by his family and to have the courageto make a difference sets Vinayak apart. Too often, we discuss what can be done to help our motherland prosper. Too often, we think of making a contribution. Too often, we dream and wonder how.

Vinayak is an example ofconviction and courage turning dreams into realities. And, of making a difference that counts.

Salaam Vinayak

Parivaar – A Unique Family

Parivaar is not just a fund raising organisation nor it is just another NGO nor it is just another orphanage nor it is just another destitute home. But, Parivaar is a Seva-Ashram whose inmates truly believe and act on principles put forward by many great saints i.e. "Service to human is Service to God" or in words of Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda 'Shiva Jnane Jiva Seva' i.e to serve the Divine in Man in a reverential spiritual attitude, in a spirit of worship.

At IIM Kolkatta , when everyone was busy in campus placements, interviews and negotiating pay packages, one guy stood apart having seen the light and shine of the corporate world during his previous stint at Infosys. He was no more interested in a corporate life and it was no more a purpose of life to him. He was much inspired by the ideals shown by Swami Vivekananda and heart broken to feel the condition of children living on streets, in red light areas, orphans, children from poor families and other destitute children for whom doors of opportunities were closed forever. He wanted to work for them give them a good life, a homely environment, full meals, good education and a place they could call home and thus started Parivaar. Starting with 3 children in a rented house, Parivaar now has more than 250 children and a small ashram of it own where children live, study, play, pray, eat, roam together in a very homely environment. You have to be really there to feel that love and compassion.

Starting from scratch and thereafter developed brick by brick, Parivaar Ashram is being continuously developed and moulded into a unique institution transforming the lives of each of its inmates (children and adults). At present, Parivaar Ashram's Residential Institution for Destitute children has 250 children (both boys and girls) who have found a new life at Parivaar and are being prepared for bright future through quality education. Parivaar Ashram at Bakhrahat, about 30 Km from Kolkata city is spread over 3 acres (about 150,000 sq. ft) of land. At the Parivaar Ashram campus is also located Parivaar's own Formal School 'Amar Bharat Vidyapeeth' in which the resident children of Parivaar study.

Kindly read below a Brief Fact sheet and for more information, picutres, visitors book, donors letter, etc.. check out www.parivaar.org

The Beginning...

I would like to start this blog with a beautiful song,

Agar kuch hai tu bus yeh hai tamna aakhiri apni,
Khaare saahil pe tum ho aur ho kashti doobti apni,
Tera hai wasta Sai ghari bhar ke liya aaja,
Bujhani hai tere daman mein shamay zindagi apni,
Agar mano jase kismat na mano tu shikayat kya,
khare tasleem kham hai jo mizhasey aap mein aaye,
Agar sab maan leteho tumhari meherbaani hai,
warna mein nikama hoin nikami zindagani hai.

This beautiful song my grandma used to tell me and he herself heard in long long time back in one of the temple in Sec 58 chandigarh... and she used to tell when that uncle used to sing this song whole atmosphere used to become so electrifying and ecstatic that most of the people in the temple used to start crying... wow.. it really won't be so hard to believe as when my grand ma told me I was myself so much moved and can only imagine how electrifying it would have been while listening from someone who wrote it and was at such a high spiritual level... Oh God.. I wish I was there just once to have heard it live..
